"I'm 31 now and still don't know if I want to have kids or not," Miley admitted. "I feel like my fans are kind of my kids in a way."
"I've heard Dolly say that too, because she didn't have children," she added, referring to her godmother and country music star, 78-year-old Dolly Parton.
Miley had previously shared her views on societal pressure for women to have children.
"They expect us to keep the planet populated. And when that isn't part of our plans or our purpose, there's so much judgment and anger that they try to change laws to force it – even if you get pregnant in a violent situation," she told Elle magazine in 2019.
"If you don't want to have kids, people feel sorry for you, as if you're a cold-hearted person who isn't capable of love... why are we trained to think that love means putting ourselves second and those we love first? If you love yourself, what's the problem? You come first," she said.
